Our Mission

Cherished Friends Senior Sanctuary provides homes for senior or hospice dogs and cats. These cherished companions receive the special care that they might need, daily doses of lots of love, room to run and play as they choose, and a guaranteed home for life either at the Senior Sanctuary or in a permanent foster home. These permanent fosters provide the TLC and Cherished Friends provides any required medical care.

A haven for older dogs and cats, but one that is shared daily with humans.

A sanctuary where senior animals can share their unconditional love with senior citizens, veterans, or anyone seeking solace from daily stresses.

A place of joy and happiness, lots of licks and snuffles, and shedding fur- lots of shedding fur!

A destination that one looks forward to coming to in order to be a part of unconditional love.

You and Your Companion Animals

We at Cherished Friends/PA Caring Hearts encourage you to make arrangements to assure that your beloved companion animals are cared for, short term or long term, should you not be able to provide that care. We are ready to discuss how you can provide for your dogs or cats by placing them into our Angels on Earth program.

PA Caring Hearts will oversee the care of your pets should you become incapacitated due to injury, illness, or medical procedures. We will assist in maintaining them in your home so you can continue to receive their unconditional love, or we can move them to Cherished Friends Senior Sanctuary or place them in a wonderful foster home- the choice will be yours.

Should they need permanent care, we will make sure they have a forever home. Please feel free to contact us at 484-877-6624 to discuss your options and how to make sure that your pet’s future is insured.

How to support our cause

We hope you’ll want to become part of Cherished Friends. Much progress has happened already on our 12 acre farm. The land is wonderful, in a serene setting near Germansville, Pennsylvania. But we need your support so we can help our furry friends! Our biggest need is always donations to cover the operating and capital costs of improving the farmhouse, the summer kitchen, and the pole barn. We have a new sanctuary and plenty of space for the pets. There’s no other setting quite like ours. So any donations, big or small, will help make Cherished Friends Senior Sanctuary stronger. There is nothing like it in the Lehigh Valley and the need is real. We welcome you to become part of the PA Caring Hearts family!

Support Cherished Friends

Cherished Friends is focused on the human-animal bond, and all that we mean to each other. Our clients, both four and two footed, truly appreciate donations of any size. All donations go directly to our programs, with animal medical care being our largest and most costly program. Cherished Friends has no paid staff, so you can donate knowing that 100% of your monies benefit our dogs and cats. Cherished Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so your contribution is deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
