PA Caring Hearts is proud to offer these programs to our adopters and communities. We are always looking for volunteers to aid us in organizing and executing these programs, so if any of these wonderful opportunities appeal to you, please consider filling out one of our volunteer applications.
Our Programs
Seniors for Seniors
Making a lifetime connection possible for senior animals and senior humans. Ages 62 and older are eligible.
Canine Field Trips
Canine field trips are an opportunity to take a dog out for some one-on-one time in the community: to the lake, to the park, to a shut-in’s home; whatever floats your boat!
Door to Door Transport
PA Caring Hearts will provide transport of you and/or your pet to a veterinarian if you are unable to get your pet to the vet.
Love for a Lifetime
Hospice care for dogs and cats who have terminal conditions.
Picture Perfect Portraits
A PA Caring Hearts volunteer will come and take in home photos of you and your beloved companion. You will have a lasting visual of you both.
Care For Life
In order to be prepared for the possibility that your life situation should change and you could no longer provide love and care for your dog(s) or cat(s), PA Caring Hearts will be happy to work with you, in advance, to ensure that your animals have the care that they deserve. Gorgeous Grooming
A PA Caring Hearts volunteer will come to your home, pick up your animal and take it to either a volunteer groomer or to a pet salon to help your animal become spiffy!
Future Programs
Cuddle Club
Come cuddle with a PA Caring Hearts dog or cat! PA Caring Hearts Cuddle Club is an opportunity for senior citizens to visit our facility and spend time with our wonderful senior dogs in a home-like community space.
Satellite Shelters
PA Caring Hearts will be setting up mini-shelters at assisted living facilities where we provide 3 to 5 lovely, snuggly animals for residents to cuddle with for 4 hours a day, with a PA Caring Hearts Volunteer on site. Residents can schedule time to come and spend nap time, TV watching time, or just be with the dog/cat time.
